Renovation & Addition Featuring:
- 46,000 s/f historic structure (designed in 1926 by John Russel Pope) underwent a major gut renovation to create a new Members’ Dining Room, new state-of-the-art commercial kitchen designed to serve 1200 persons, outdoor terraces and banquet areas, gut-renovated Employees Dormitory, and new administrative offices.
- The project also included extensive asbestos abatement and structural rehabilitation as well as replacement and upgrading of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including installation of a new freight elevator.
- Construction scheduling was phased and tightly coordinated to accommodate ongoing club operations during construction (banquets, seasonal celebrations, residential apartments, etc.).
